APPEARING AT: FROM THE EARTH DEGUSTATION CHEF'S CABIN FESTIVAL VILLAGE
The West Australian’s Rob Broadfield described Co-op Dining as producing “superbly crafted dishes with impeccable sustainability and 'paddock to plate' credentials.” This is Kiren Mainwaring’s mission in anything he does; renowned for his strong links to producers, use of native ingredients and his love of foraging.
Brought up on the rugged coast of Pembrokeshire he got his start in the kitchen at a local hotel. At aged 15 he was hooked. At the popular Dear Friends, and more recently at Co-op Dining in East Perth, Kiren is one of a select group of chefs who continually excel in the fine dining space; pushing the boundaries to delight customers again and again. Over the years he’s become known throughout Western Australia for his produce driven approach, using foraged and small farm ingredients with a mix of traditional and modern cooking techniques. This led most recently to him becoming a state judge for the delicious. Produce Awards.
