A decadent truffle feast to ignite the senses in the heart of the Festival Village at Fonty's Pool. The Truffle Kerfuffle Saturday lunch is a much loved festival tradition; gather around the long table, meet people from near and far, and enjoy all that the Southern Forests has to offer.
Amy Hamilton (Liberte) is one of Australia's rising stars on the culinary scene. She draws on influences from the Southern Forests, Europe and Asia, to give us her eclectic take on food cooked over fire.
Recently named in the "50 Next Generation Top Aussie Chefs", Amy is returning for the second year to Truffle Kerfuffle. In the week preceeding the festival, Amy will be travelling through the region, meeting producers and collecting produce for the feast. The indulgent three course menu she creates as a result will be a sociable shared feast of seasonal produce, freshly unearthed truffle, local wine and cider.
Host, Max Veenhuyzen (Broadsheet Perth / Australian Gourmet Traveller) will be on the mic, chatting to Amy, local producers and winemakers.
